Personal Information (Biography): Christina graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1992, and received her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 1996. Initially planning to combine her love of surgery and pediatrics, she completed her internship year in general surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, and then completed two years of pediatric surgery research at Columbus Children’s Hospital. During that time, Christina decided to change paths and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Minnesota in 2002. Board-certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Christina has been providing passionate, thorough, family centered and complete care to newborns, children, adolescents, and young adults in the Twin Cities metro area for the past 14 years. Areas of interest include adolescents, mental health, and preventative care and wellness, and she is experienced at caring for children with complicated medical issues.
Dr. Dewey lives in southwestern Minneapolis with her husband Tim, their two children, Jack and Eleni, and their two dogs, Grover and Marley. She enjoys walking the lakes, gardening, volunteering at her children’s school, reading, family/friend time, and sunny beach vacations.
