Personal Information (Biography): Dr. Shelly L.P. Strong graduated with a B.S. in biology from St. Olaf College. She received her medical doctorate from the University of Minnesota, completed her pediatric specialty there and served as Chief Resident in 1995. Dr. Strong joined Central Pediatrics in 1995 where her practice emphasis is on family-centered care including preventive health care and behavioral issues from the newborn period through adolescence. Treating children with asthma is one of her areas of interest. Dr. Strong is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has served the past two years as managing partner of Central Pediatrics and actively serves on committees at the Children's Physician Network (CPN). She is married with four children, enjoys outdoors activities including hiking, skiing, biking and being with her family at their cabin in the Northwoods.
